Presentation title: Does a facebow and customising condylar angles make a difference in complete dentures?
Presentation Description: This presentation of a patient case will be used to investigate if taking a facebow and customising the articulators’ condylar angles has an impact on complete dentures. Many clinical and dental technicians have articulators that are capable of customisation, but do you know if it is worth the effort? It has been reported that customisation of the semi-adjustable articulator to simulate the patient’s mandibular movements impacts the complete dentures. We will investigate if Articulator accuracy and bilateral balanced occlusion allows for the replication of the patient’s mandibular movements to improve the stability of complete dentures during mastication.
